Operation of our farm : Our farm is composed by farming of farm pigs called label rouge and by a park with the other animals of the farm. Our breed of pork label rouge is made under the official mark of quantity, almost agriculture biologic. This pork is breeded (chovany) for your gustative pleasure. We're responsible for all chain, beginning at the birth until the adult age, and from production to consumption. Park, 2 ha large presents you the other traditional animals living in the farm : sheep, goats, rabbits and fowls. Only a cow is missing now. These animals are farmed to be showed at for the public, not for the production. Only some of them finish at our table. For example, rabbits are cradled on the free air (except of the winter when they're in the rabbit - hutches). 10 ha are in dispositions for crops. We make a rotation : wheat - barley - rape. This crop is sold to our suppliers to be returned to the base of composition of our pork. We choose cereals as a gather of the straw, which is used as a litter under the pork. For the reason of the date of sowing, this year we decided to seed a triticale (hybrid between the rye and wheat), give us a straw very well absorbing. 3 ha are occupied by the willow, which we crush (rozdrtime) and use as a litter under the straw. The farm pork All of our pigs are birth in the open air in the maternities. Every sow has own park, where she transported a week before the date of the birth and where she has a comfort and could prepare herself... The piglets stay with mother for 4 weeks. They suck the milk from the time of birth and in the age of 2 weeks they start with discovering the environment and starting to eat the granules. 4 weeks old, piglets leave their mother to discover a new life. They're placed in the warm and ventilated rooms : post weaning (where mangers and pig drinkers are adapted to their size) before they'll join the hall of growth on the straw. Nowadays, we don't beef the pork but in the ration adapted, we prefer to growth them harmonious and slow. The term of beef is dated in the age when pork is well fat for production of lard. All pork is controlled in the slaughter by the plan hygienic also qualitative. Every sow, whitch leave her young ones, growth, insatiable (imagine 11 or 12 piglets of 8 or 11 kg hanged on the udder!), doesn't have any other wish then to come back her life and nest down a piglets ping, sweet and almost calm. She also goes with our help to a veterinary control where we could inseminate her and offer the best in the term of genetics... In 4 weeks she's controlled if she could be in calf then she's eligible to lie about until she became a mother. Our breed is authorised by mark pork label rouge. This type of breed respects the environment, almost the agriculture biological, source of job (4 people instead of 1) and we apply a meat of the high gustative quality. A park of 2 ha would like to present you a company of animals of the farm (except of the cow). Dunkey, Machi Machi was born in 2004. She likes the grass, the hay and also some cereals. Machi likes to have company and her cry, called, bray, is very noisy (it's possible to hear it several kilometres away) at the donkey that feels lonely. Machi doesn't have any partner, which means that she will not have any baby donkey. We hope she will live for 40 years. Sheep In the farm you could find several sheep. In generally, sheep are kept for meat and wool or for milk that is very rich in minerals. The sheep gives birth to a lamb after 4 months and 20 days. They have 1 to 3 lambs, the weigh from 2 to 3 kg. The goats In the number of 5 they make a part of goat family. Anatol and Grison are bucks but only Grison could have kids with Clémentine the goat. Usually 5 months later, we have 1 or 2 kids. The rabbits The rabbits live in the family. During the winter they live in their rabbit - hutches. During the season they're at open air. Rabbits eat granules, hay, apples, vegetables, water etc. Their reproduction is very quick, 6 to 10 goldcrests (kralicek) by 4 times in the year.
